Draft Master Plan explained in awareness meetings
Draft Mater plan for the capital Amaravati is released by the CRDA. One awareness meeting is arranged at Guntur for the ryot-representatives of various villages concerned. The ryots have opposed the planning of express highways through certain village sites. Village-level meetings are conducted in all the villages except Thulluru, Malkapuram and Dondapadu. The village-level meetings in those three villages are not successful. In addition to the issue of express highways through village sites, the other objections include the issue of non-permitting construction of houses beyond certain height in the residential plots allotted to them. Meetings exclusively with those affected are planned. If the problem still persists, it is likely that the plan be altered suitably. After finalization of the Master plan, land-pooling notification will be released and allotment of plots to ryots is likely be made in the ensuing April.
